    STEELSERIES XAI Review

The XAI is so hyped because of the shape and the promise of SteelSeries. They say that this is not a mouse, but a tool. " Obviously, I was a little skeptical about how they advertise this mouse, as I am with all of their marketing campaigns. SteelSeries has definitively links to reach most of the players. Let's see how it fairs in the mouse with my review, I will not go on the characteristics of the mouse from one aspect of the software, you can find it all on the site of SteelSeries. By browsing this would be redundant. I just want to get down to the important stuff! My first thought when I became aware of this mouse is that of a Intellimouse 1.1. Though this may have been influenced because I used the Intellimouse since I started playing in 2004. So we may say that I have a good amount of experience with the 1.1. This mouse is designed to feel like a 1.1. There is no way around that. Strictly from the point of grip, this mouse is almost identical to a pointing device. There is a small ridge along the ring finger, which distinguishes it for me, and it is a welcome feature I might add. Overall, the comfort of this mouse is outstanding.Although it is ambidextrous, he feels equally comfortable as any other mouse that I felt. The material used on all plastic feels like a product based on rubber. Yet another welcome feature! Each button requires just a little force to push with a quiet click, but positive. The scroll wheel clicks almost like a Deathadder, but with deeper ridges. I think the commonly Deathadder has the best mouse wheel, but this is better by a long shot. The CPI button can be pressed without really wanting to press. It sounds silly, but I can not tell you how many other mice have a button to toggle the DPI in the wrong place. Personally, I think it should be on the bottom of the mouse, but I'm sure there's a reason for it to be pressed quickly. Each button on the side clicks well and has a profound contrast click the mouse buttons above. I think it is a good approach because the side buttons should be pressed for reaction, but rather just a little assurance that they are squeezed is best. SteelSeries think I should have done a little more to differentiate the two side buttons, they sort of just run together. They are perfectly placed for me though, so I do not know where they are. On the bottom of the mouse SteelSeries is where could have greatly improved the mouse. The mouse feet are not designed well. The size is fine, but how they are designed physically. They are very big, which I think is always better than "points". Some people will tell you they have a greater friction, but the feet of the mouse on the XAI provide a ridiculous amount of sweetness on any mouse pad. The mouse feet are not round, that's it.No-foot mouse rounded collect a lot of dirt and ask the user to constantly keep their own mouse pad. I use the newer products more than the average user. All my mouse mats are clean and I do not eat around my computer. With all that said, I still have to clean the bottom of the XAI often because dirt accumulates on the edges of the feet of the mouse. Personally, it's just a slip because I can not see a company that has always used the mouse feet rounded to suddenly stop doing so. However, the weight of the mouse is something that has been perfected. The mouse feels a bit heavier than the 1.1, but about the same as a Deathadder.SteelSeries has done an excellent job of centering the weight. When you pick it up to adjust the fixed pick and flat. When you make a very quick scan, it stays flat. Most mice will "roll" a little when a fast movement occurs. This mouse has a weight of "natural" SteelSeries shows once again that small things really count! I would also like to discuss something I saw in the previous comments about the Xai, the side buttons. I do not know what kind of grip they use constantly pressing the side buttons, but I never reached the accident.I did not affected by anything in the game, but I feel that if I accidentally hit. I just put my finger on the buttons on the side, and it feels more natural. This is just a warning to those who may or may not strike the keys of the accident. If you have an Intellimouse 1.1, then you understand how to arrange your fingers do not accidentally hit the button on the other side. Also on the bottom of the mouse is an LCD display indicating the profile you use. If you need to change any aspect of the profile, whether the FreeMove, ExactSens, ExactAim or ExactRate you can do on the actual mouse. This really makes the mouse 100% free driver if necessary. Use the pilot remains the easiest and fastest way to customize the mouse though. I did run into a few snafoo with this feature though. When I put the two values, the CPI for the same whole, the mouse would Freak Out When you switch to that profile. I tried to change the profile through the software and via the mouse, without result. The only solution for that right now do not have the same CPI value set for these two values. Strange as it may seem, I did not press the CPI value accidentally during a game.Other than that one glitch, this mouse has been perfect throughout this review! The design of the mouse was superb, but this does not always mean the mouse will last. While the mouse feels solid. The buttons do not creak, the mouse wheel is smooth and feet appeared to be attached. I mean all this in a joking matter of course. Here at ESR we do not care about that. We care if the mouse will last after taking a beating. Some players are angry, and for some odd reason to get him out of their devices, such was their fault. So I'll make sure it does not matter how the mouse will XAI a beating. I literally threw the mouse about three feet above my desk and had landed on the hard surface of my table. I was a little disappointed that it caused my CPI button click! Shame on you, Xai. Just kidding, this mouse will be able to take a beating. Okay, now for the important stuff - positive and negative acceleration. The XAI has positive acceleration, it is very minimal and will not if you miss a shot.I tested this with the most common way, line up the mouse all the way on one side of the mousepad and slide until it could no longer cope. This may not be a scientific way of doing, but it is a real world scenario. That said, I tested three different values of the CPI, 400, 800 and 1600. All these tests were performed on 1000Hz polling rate and no other features have been activated. To be honest, I think all levels of the CPI also take place when it comes to the negative and positive acceleration. One thing that this mouse does not suffer from what the negative acceleration. As I said earlier, the positive acceleration is so small as to not affect the way you play. The screenshots included in the gallery were taken on Dust2 in Counter-Strike: Source with all orders noforce on. The system I used was Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit. I think if you use Vista XP operating system acceleration will be a little less, because of Windows 7 with a little acceleration. On the test 1600CPI I messed up on the blue dot has monitored my office after the mousepad has ended, so we know.Other than this snafoo, what I believe to be represented are accurate and credible. I read some people asking if the XAI must be received a certain way, and the short answer is no. I use a palm grip-claw hybrid, and it works well. I can imagine the elicitation XAI with larger hands may be a problem, but it was not for me. (I'd say I have average hands.) Another type of claw grip is popular, and I think this is an excellent adhesion to the mouse. However, I have used many different mouse and you can keep the same kind of grip on the mouse to mouse. When you set your hands on a new mouse that is the grip you use. I tried all possible with the grip Xai and they were all at ease and my left hand has never felt very important for people who have problems gripping. I explicitly stated in the notice that I already feel the Xai is really the benchmark for all other mice being compared. The XAI is a wonderful "tool" for games, and I think it really shows how SteelSeries worked on this mouse. Every detail has been carefully planned, especially the design aspect of Xai.Honestly, it feels very natural compared to all the mice I've ever used. It will take a very important breakthrough for me to stop using the mouse altogether. Regarding performance, the XAI surpasses any mouse to date on the market. The only disadvantage of this mouse is the price is a hefty investment to develop a device. I purchased my mouse from ESEA.net and they enjoy a little discount compared to other stores, so I suggest you check the first page. If you have any questions about this mouse, ask in the comment box and I'll be sure to respond to the best of my ability! Also, the feet of the mouse XAI are designed for control and gentleness. Talent is also designed for the same thing, then logically put the two together is probably one of the combinations smoother than I ever used. I recommend all the talent combined with PureTrak XAI SteelSeries. Also, I had a little over two weeks to play with this mouse, and it amazes me how the sensor tracks my movements. I have now corrected my feelings that I feel comfortable at (400CPI - Windows by default - 1.0 In-Game).Anyone who uses 400CPI/DPI know that this is a very low sensitivity, and the XAI tracks perfectly.
