Motor racing is the subset of motorsport activities which involve competitors racing against each other.

Types of motor racing include auto racing, motorcycle racing, truck racing, air racing, boat racing, motor racing and snowmobile racing lawnmower.

New additions to the game include a view in driving, a help button to conduct the rollover frame with detailed, real simulation of the drift, and for the first time in the series, the SUV.[5] Also new to the series is the addition of cattle cars, though generic. In addition, the game also offers the opportunity to paint race cars and upgrade the cars race at a maximum, while Forza Motorsport 2 only allowed for the production and tuner cars to be painted or maintained (although as a downloadable Peugeot LMP can be painted). Also included is the ability to improve the production of some cars and a tuner for the race at the class level, represented by the performance rating R3, R2 and R1, while Forza Motorsport 2 has not. Also included is the ability to create in-game videos and upload them to the website of Forza Motorsport.Forza Motorsport 3 is delivered on two discs, but uses only one for the gameplay. The second disc is for "installation disk", which contains additional vehicle and track content, 1.9GB in total. Forza 3 is also compatible with the feature force feedback wheel on the higher end of the races except the Logitech G25 and G27.
